Lexye relocated to Georgia from Tonganoxie, Kansas in 2011 when her husband, David, accepted employment with Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Savannah.  After relocating, Lexye attended Armstrong Atlantic State University and graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor degree in Liberal Studies.  After graduation, Lexye applied for admittance to the newly established Savannah Law School.  During her time in law school, Lexye worked as a research assistant for professors and local attorneys.  She served on the board of the Savannah Law Review as Style Editor in 2015/2016.  Her law school note:  Regulating Boss Hogg – Citizen Empowerment and Rural Government Accountability, was published in the Savannah Law Review Vol. 4 | No. 1 in 2017, and has been cited in other works. 

Lexye has a passion for helping those who are unable to help themselves. She has been proud to dedicate time and support to Effingham County Victim Witness Assistance Program assisting victims and families affected by domestic violence and was recognized by the Georgia Bar Association as a Pro Bono All Star in 2018.
